How to reduce security risks in the IT asset disposition process
With end of support for Windows 10 coming up in late 2025 and companies clamoring for the power of new AI PCs and upgraded data centers, enterprises are prepping for a PC refresh cycle that may bring not only new machines but an unwanted surprise: significant security vulnerabilities and regulatory issues.
If not handled properly, the IT asset disposition (ITAD) process involving PCs, data center equipment, mobile devices and other IT equipment, opens up companies to at least six key risks, including unauthorized access to individuals’ records, failure to properly vet business partners, and failure to issue timely breach notifications.
In this webinar, ITAD experts Bob Houghton of Sage Sustainable Electronics and David Daoud of Compliance Standards will discuss the risks inherent in the ITAD process and strategies enterprises can take to mitigate them.
